We are proud to extend a heartfelt congratulations to La\u2019Rissa Thomas, Emerson Group\u2019s Annual\u00a0Rowan University<\/a> Scholarship recipient for the 2024\/2025 academic year!\u00a0 Her hard work, dedication, and commitment to a future in the Human Resources field have truly set her apart. President Bill Emerson<\/a>\u00a0said, \u201cThis scholarship is a reflection of La\u2019Rissa\u2019s achievements, and we are confident that she will continue to excel as she pursues her future goals. This is just the beginning of what promises to be a bright and successful future for another talented Rowan student, and we\u2019re honored to be part of it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Emerson Group is excited to support La\u2019Rissa on her journey and looks forward to seeing the positive impact she\u2019ll make in her field of study. La\u2019Rissa shared, \u201cAs I enter my final year at Rowan University, where I will graduate this spring with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, I reflect on my journey. I transferred to Rowan from Rowan College of South Jersey in Spring 2022, and my college experience has exceeded all my expectations. The Emerson Group Scholarship is a tremendous blessing\u2014one I truly appreciate. My education at Rowan has been instrumental in preparing me for this corporate experience.\u00a0 As a first-generation college graduate, my family is proud to witness my growth, and they were equally excited about my scholarship.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

La\u2019Rissa is currently serving as President of the\u00a0Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Club at Rowan<\/a>. Together with her fellow officers, she has made significant strides in increasing membership and fostering meaningful engagement within the club. Additionally, she has joined the\u00a0Tri-State HRMA<\/a>\u00a0Student Relations Committee, where she is committed to providing more resources for aspiring HR professionals.<\/p>\n
