{"id":1521,"date":"2022-02-21T15:52:49","date_gmt":"2022-02-21T21:52:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/emersongroupinc.com\/?p=1521"},"modified":"2025-02-19T15:56:23","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T21:56:23","slug":"passing-of-emerson-groups-founder-annette-streeter-emerson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emersongroupinc.com\/passing-of-emerson-groups-founder-annette-streeter-emerson\/","title":{"rendered":"Passing of Emerson Group\u2019s founder, Annette Streeter Emerson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1523\" src=\"https:\/\/emersongroupinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1554-skip-annette-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Emerson Group\u2019s founder, Annette Emerson on Sunday, February 20, 2022.\u00a0 Annette was 91 and a longtime Moorestown, NJ resident.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1527\" src=\"https:\/\/emersongroupinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/500-Emerson-Family-300x200-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 1971 Annette with her husband Skip purchased a Dunhill Personnel franchise and immediately set out to become leaders in the staffing industry in South Jersey and Philadelphia.\u00a0 In 1990 a second generation of the Emerson family, her son\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:WEmerson@EmersonGroupInc.com\">Bill<\/a>\u00a0joined the business as an Executive Recruiter then stepped in as President when Annette and Skip retired in 1998.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1531\" src=\"https:\/\/emersongroupinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Annette-Emerson-Obit-Photo-2-231x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Annette was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, William (Skip) Emerson. \u00a0She is survived by four sons and daughters-in- laws, Stephen (Mary) of Moorestown, Douglas (Cecilia) of Boulder CO, Matthew (Heather) of Anchorage AK, and William (Annemarie) of Moorestown.\u00a0 Survived by seven grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, Rachel, Noah, William, Nicholas, and Luke Matthew.<\/p>\n<p>Annette was born and raised in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Syracuse University.\u00a0 She obtained her Master\u2019s degree from Union Theological Seminary and Columbia University, NYC with a degree in Christian education.\u00a0 She held positions of Director of Education at the Roslyn Presbyterian Church, Roslyn NY and the Robinson Memorial Church, Syracuse, NY.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fpcmoorestown.org\/\">First Presbyterian Church<\/a>, 101 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057 or to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/davisphinneyfoundation.org\/\">Davis Phinney Parkinson Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Emerson Group\u2019s founder, Annette Emerson on Sunday, February 20, 2022.\u00a0 Annette was 91 and a longtime Moorestown, NJ resident.
